Start with these three signs

  • The identity story is hard to verify
  • Payment goes to an unknown third party
  • A new emergency follows each payment

How the situation unfolds

  1. Contact

Cross-border dating, social messages, or gaming chats.

  2. The lure

One payment will make a reunion possible.

  3. The demand and outcome

Distance prevents verification while fake hospitals, customs contacts, or agents add more charges.

Verify these things before paying

  1. Do not send money to a partner never met
  2. Find the alleged institution independently
  3. Do not receive unexplained overseas funds

Already engaged or paid?

  1. Stop further emergency payments
  2. Notify the transfer service and bank
  3. Preserve third-party identities and report

Contact your payment provider and local police promptly. The responsible institution must confirm whether a payment can be stopped, disputed or returned.
