Start with these three signs

  • Unsolicited guaranteed sale or exit
  • Large upfront fees
  • Vague buyer, service and refund terms

How the situation unfolds

  1. Contact

Resale calls, email ads or contract exit services.

  2. The lure

A buyer is ready; pay now to sell or exit.

  3. The demand and outcome

Owners hoping to escape ongoing costs are sold nonexistent buyers or guaranteed exits through repeated advance charges.

Verify these things before paying

  1. Contact the resort operator first
  2. Verify broker and buyer independently
  3. Read fees, refunds and exit terms

Already engaged or paid?

  1. Stop paying further closing charges
  2. Confirm contract status with the operator
  3. Keep resale promises; report to consumer authorities or police

Contact your payment provider and local police promptly. The responsible institution must confirm whether a payment can be stopped, disputed or returned.
